Non-Certified Staff - Job Details
Position: Maintenance 261 day position with benefits Salary $23.48 an hour Upon hire employees must complete a nationwide criminal history Job Goal: To maintain the physical school plant(s) in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times. Performance Responsibilities: 1. Examines school buildings on a regular basis for needed repairs and preventative maintenance issues. 2. Performs all minor repairs and/or preventative maintenance issues discovered during building examination that do not require additional assistance from other maintenance personnel, procuring necessary materials through the Maintenance Supervisor. 3. Reports maintenance issues to the Maintenance Supervisor that require additional assistance and/or materials for completion. 4. Performs and documents all repairs and/or preventative maintenance projects as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. 5. Assists the Maintenance Supervisor concerning the priorities of repair projects, as requested. 6. Performs maintenance work such as replacing worn or defective wiring, switches, faucets, and plumbing fixtures, and repairing fencing, asphalt, concrete, and ceilings. 7. Assists the Maintenance Supervisor to plan, schedule, and inspect approved projects, as requested. 8. Submits a monthly inventory of supplies and equipment on hand to the Maintenance Supervisor, accompanied by appropriate requests to purchase for needed materials. 9. Reports emergencies to the Maintenance Supervisor, Director of Business Operations and/or Superintendent immediately upon discovery. 10. Performs assigned duties relating to emergency situations (including snow removal) with efficiency. 11. Maintains records as required. 12. Duties may also include data entry as assigned. 13. Complies with any reasonable written or oral request of the Maintenance Supervisor, Director of Business Operations and/or the Superintendent. Other Reporting Responsibilities: 1. Report directly to the assigned building(s) at the start of the shift or as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. 2. Log in/out at school office upon entering/leaving building.
